Overview
When a website is being rebuilt, redesigned, or launched for the first time, visitors who arrive during that period should not encounter a blank screen or a generic “under construction” notice. A well-designed maintenance or coming soon page communicates that something is happening, keeps your brand visible, and — when set up correctly — captures email addresses from interested visitors so you have a warm audience ready at launch. This service builds and configures a custom branded page on your WordPress site: designed with your logo and brand colors, integrated with an email capture form, optionally featuring a countdown timer, configured with the correct HTTP status code for its purpose (503 for maintenance, 200 for coming soon), and set up with an admin bypass so you can view and work on the real site while visitors see the holding page.
Who Is This For?
- Businesses launching a brand new website who want a professional pre-launch presence in place before the site is ready
- Companies undergoing a major site redesign who need to take the live site down temporarily without showing visitors a blank page
- Startups building their online presence who want to start capturing email leads before their site officially launches
- WooCommerce store owners preparing for a new product launch who want a branded countdown page to build anticipation
- Agencies managing client site rebuilds who need a clean, branded holding page in place during the development phase
- Any business whose WordPress site will be unavailable or incomplete for a period of time and wants to maintain a professional visitor-facing presence throughout
What You Will Receive
- A custom branded maintenance or coming soon page — designed with your logo, brand colors, and a message for your visitors
- Email capture form integrated into the page — connected to your existing email platform or collecting entries locally for export
- Optional countdown timer configured to your specified launch date
- Correct HTTP status code configured — 503 for maintenance mode (signals temporary unavailability to search engines) or 200 for coming soon (treats the page as a normal live page)
- Admin bypass enabled — you and any logged-in administrators can view and navigate the real site while all other visitors see the holding page
- Brief setup documentation covering how to disable the page when you are ready to go live, where captured emails are stored, and how to update the countdown date if needed
Workflow
- Place your order and receive an intake form via email
- Submit your WordPress admin credentials, logo file, brand colors, the message you want displayed to visitors, and your target launch date if a countdown is needed
- We review your inputs and select the most appropriate plugin for the setup based on your requirements
- The maintenance or coming soon page is designed and configured using your brand materials
- The email capture form is integrated and connected to your preferred email platform or set up for local list collection
- The countdown timer is configured if requested
- HTTP status code and admin bypass are set and confirmed
- A visual review of the live page is shared for your confirmation
- Brief setup documentation is delivered
Important Notes
- This service requires WordPress admin access — credentials must be shared securely before work begins; a temporary admin account is recommended
- Email platform integration (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, etc.) is available if you already have an active account with an accessible API key; if no email platform is in use, captured emails are stored locally within the plugin and exported as a CSV when needed
- Email marketing platform account creation or configuration is not included in this service
- Custom animations, video backgrounds, and parallax effects are not included — the page design is clean, professional, and brand-consistent but not motion-heavy
- A countdown timer is optional — if included, the target date must be provided before setup begins; date changes after delivery can be made directly in the plugin settings by the client
- The page is built using a WordPress plugin — the plugin used is selected based on compatibility with your theme and site structure
- Full page redesign or conversion to a permanent landing page after launch is not included
- The timeline begins after admin access, logo, brand colors, visitor message, and launch date (if applicable) are all received

Timeline
1–2 business days from the date WordPress admin access, logo, brand colors, and visitor message are all received and confirmed. If a countdown timer is included, the target launch date must also be provided before work begins.
Revision Policy
- Included revisions: 1 round of adjustments after delivery
- What counts as a revision: Adjusting the layout or color balance of the page, updating the visitor message text, modifying the countdown date, changing the placement of the email form or social links, or correcting any configuration issue with the HTTP status code or admin bypass
- What is NOT a revision: Redesigning the page with a completely different visual direction after the initial setup is approved, adding animated or video background elements, or converting the holding page into a permanent post-launch landing page — these are treated as new work and priced separately
Usage Rights
Upon full payment and delivery, the configured page, all collected email entries, and the setup documentation are fully yours. You retain complete ownership and control of the page within your WordPress installation. Any emails captured through the form are yours — no third-party access is retained after delivery.
Professional Disclaimer
This service creates a holding page based on the brand materials and content provided by the client. The visual appearance of the page may vary slightly depending on your WordPress theme and active plugins — any conflicts will be flagged and resolved during setup. HTTP status code configuration signals intent to search engines but cannot guarantee specific crawling or indexing behavior, which is determined by each search engine independently. Email delivery and list management after capture are dependent on the email platform used and are outside the scope of this service.
